Keeping the Memories
Hello Blakely's and Poczatek's. Since all of you are growing up so fast, Aunt June wanted to sart a "small" project to enlighten all of you of some of the actions and feelings you may get and just quite put your finger on where it comes from. These pictures are for starters!
Nice goggles and a Spanish project, "making a pinata" I was a little too driven and it was sooo heavy I couldn't hang it up!! DUH! Got an "A" though.
Who cares if I don't look into camera...can I have the candle? (Stan III)
"Just take the picture already"...

Dear Daddy, Happy Father's Day
Mary and Stan: I know you'll get this to Dad...
Happy Father's Day to one of the most unconventional dad I knew!
Unconventional isn't a bad thing at all, so let's get that straight. As a matter of fact, it's all relevant to what society has to say. Dad, thanks for teaching the old ways of working for what you get. Even if we had the money, you taught us to earn the prize! When we didn't really have the money, we never knew it. you worked three times harder to get us those special tickets to the National Theater. Thank for making me buy my own dance uniforms and shoes to be on the team, for not running out and buying those designer jeans, and not letting us wear make up at 12 just because everyone else is doing it.
You didn't think I noticed, but I use to see tears swell up in your eyes when you had to reprimand us. Especially, by the time you go to the third one. Your love for mom is sooo endearing. You always placed her first in our home, and God encourages a couple to stay centered to keep the foundation of the household. Teaching us to work hard, you also taught us to play hard when the work was done. We all eventually learned how to balance to two in our own lives.
I remember the day we became friends and not just my dad. You found out I changed my grade on my report card and saw my heart. I expected to be grounded and you said sorry instead. Then you talked to me and said, "I just want you to do your best that you can do and not be ashamed." You taught me that lying was showing that a person is ashamed of something.
I look in the mirror today and I can sleep at night knowing I am a good human being, that carries compassion, loves the humor in life, finds ways to find the joy in the moment, laugh at lessons in life, and is honest with those I love because of you. These are the qualities you gave me.
Love,
June

I Realized...
I went to see Star Trek yesterday and I absolutely Loved it!! Then I went to the restroom and heard a couple of girls in a different generationtalk about the movie. This is how it sounded w/my thought captions...
Girl #1: Spock had ears like Orlando Bloom in Lord of the Rings.
My Bubble: Spock was the first with those ears!!
Girl #2: He was sooo much cuter than Orlando Bloom.
My Bubble: Leonard Nimoy? Orlando Bloom is sooo much hotter!!
Girl #1: Captain Pickard is soo much smarter then Captain Kirk
My Bubble: Captain Kirk has character and street smarts!!
Girl #2: Yea, but Vulcan kids look like they were self studied, kinda like home schooled in those 360 spheres
My Bubble: Captain Kirk always heard all sides of the situation before decisions and so did Pickard, so both were great captains in their own way!!!
Based I this encounter at the movie theater bathroom....I have come to the realization that I am two generations past these girls; even trying to have a conversation regarding the Star Trek series would be useless because they just don't have the experience that I do in this matter; and final conclusion!!! I am old now and remember, not only the Star Trek as it stands today, but the original series!! I even remember the Captain Pike character from the original series and where he was left after he was paralized and burned!!
Another epiphany!! I am a closet TREKKIE!! I remember the Trekkie conventions at the Capitol Center and getting Leonard Nimoy's autograph and talking to Lt. Aura. All in all...I am glad to see that as the series grew, Klingons were not enemies anymore and Wharf proved that they passed a time in history where we were able to move past our differences and embrace cultural strengths to explore strange new places where no one has gone before.

Baby Sisters...Even at 40!!!
Well it's that time again...our Birthday!! My younger sis always calls me on our birthday and says, "I am feeling old, but then I think of you and it makes me realize, you'll always be older than me, June."
We share this day together and our mom always found a way to have us be together to celebrate. Mostly by guilt, but we both know we do share this day regardless of the miles that life has placed before us. Mom always wanted to have her daughter grow up w/a sister and boy did she make sure we would be forever connected. Having daughters with the same birthday, but not twins.
I don't know if Mary realizes how much I have always loved her. From the moment she came home I have felt responsibility for her happiness, being the oldest and a sister, but now...her being born on my birthday!! It was just ingrained from that moment. I never minded, even when she played dirty tricks on. I got her back when she was older and could handle her own medicine. Wow! That sounded old!
Well Mary, you know I'm not much into writing everyday on this thing, but I just had to for your 40th because I know how happy it would make you when you wake up today. Here's to you Mary, my baby sis:
1. You're an amazing mother, who would have known with that huge doll collection you had!
2. You're incredible relationship w/your husband is precious to those who are lucky to witness your marriage.
3 - 13 Andrew, Chris, Cassie, Garrett, Mark, Jason, Caroline, Corrina, Charlotte, and Maggie!! 10 amazing human beings that give to our world with their spirits and souls nurtured by you every single day. You can't tell me that society needs to be better at educating our children, being a mother translates to ensuring the education and habits of ethics is strongly grounded within the home first.
14. You always had fun...You never waited to long to enjoy every moment of life.
15. You find a way to be positive everyday.
16. You're also grounded and understand the changes in the world, so you can be better at being a mom and balance the policeman you married.
17. Your sensitivity to others show you sometimes care more about others than they do themselves.
18. Where did you learn to clean like that? I always cleaned the toilets growing up...OCD, but I have to love it because we are alike in this area.
19. You're ability to listen to others is a trait most people don't even try to learn as part of communication.
20. Your creativity is out of this world...DEN MOM!
21. Your children actually entrust you and include them in their lives, while being a parent at it. Definitely not easy when you're a parent of teenagers.
22. You tell your children everyday how special they are.
23. You and Keith find a way to touch be a couple, date, and be parents, but you take care of each other as the core of the family.
24. You create "atmosphere" when you plan any event. Every detail is taken care of and thought through carefully.
25. You manage to go on two family vacations a year and every part of the family creates their new memories of these moments.
26.You get the JOKES!! Finally you see things my way!
27. You always find ways to grow for yourself.
28. You can't hide anything, even over the phone, from me.
29. I am proud you actually make a few Vietnamese dishes!!!!
30. Even though you didn't really acknowledge you even knew me in high school, when it came down to claiming as a sister, you did.
31. You managed to harness your temper...remember the chair throwing?
32. You forgave me for sewing in those Jordace Jeans!!
33. When you needed help up w/John Cook, you came to me to beat him up for you...Really, that's where it started!
34. Deep down, growing up, I saw you befriend those less popular, even though you teased me (who feel in that category, according to you and Stan)I knew you didn't like to see anyone alone.
35. You love rescuing animals!
36. You find balance between self-sacrifice and asking for what you need from others in order to be able to give your full heart w/o compromising who you are.
37. I have never heard poor me after you had children (actually, since you were like 14). You're a great idol for them!!!
38. You drive the BLUE thing around w/o worrying about looking like a bus driver on a field trip.
39. Shopping for an army!!! w/o going to Salvation Army!! Your budgeting skills are incredible.
40. YOU LOVE YOUR LIFE, regardless of what has come around the bend, you honestly love your life to the fullest and see the good things that God blesses us with.
I Love your Spirit...Big Sis, not BS

I Love St. Patrick's Day
O.K. For those who who know this, I never really celebrated Valentine's Day...over commercialized, and now!! You are kidding me, right? I dropped the name as fast as could because it was soo "stage" name, June Valentine. Well, I made it another year. Whew! I have Heart-shape Phobia...I really have a hard time with the shape, but the four leaf clover is on!!
I love European food, so the corned beef and cabbage thing is fabulous!! add petite potatoes with salt and pepper...FEAST to be had for a King...ME!! It's all about the food. I make a second cabbage dish w/sauerkraut. Only thing left is the Horsey mustard by Emeril...think I'm kidding? It's really no joke. Did I tell you that my birthday is March 14th? Well, three day parties was never out of the question.

Cassie's B-DAY!!
Another Teenager is Born today...yes it's true. you can't stop it from occurring, so you must embrace it. And embrace it with every ounce of you Cassie. O.K. we all know the 'tude starts before you actually turn 13, but this child has been amazing, just like her older brothers. No attitude has ever formed. I am so proud to have her as my niece!! She's smart, real, true to her soul, and nice to everyone because she is so caring. That's what makes her so beautiful; how much she cares for life. Don't go too crazy trying to please everyone, Sweetie. It's a hard thing to try to do and still remain sane. Just ask your mom and I. Love you! My Birthday Wish for Cassie...live every moment with your spirit never broken and your faith never failing.

Things you want for others in 2009!!!
After my previous post of "New Year's Resolution", I realized that I have always wished greatness for others. I look for ways where I can add to the lives of wonderful friends that enhance my life and have embraced and valued each other. If you really know me, you also know that I can be very blunt with my "truths". It just comes from experience of communicating with my mom, so everyone else around me gets BLUNT.

This is one wish I want my dear friend Kevin S...
To get a new phone, so when we call, he can't blame our cell phones anymore because this is what I found when Abbie and I watched "The Women" at his place...How appropriate...HUH?!!!!

.jpg)
With Seriousness Kevin, Abbie completely supported this phone with complete awe of the "perfect neck cradling" incorporated in the engineering design!!!
New Year's Resolutions...
Last night my sister asked me what's my "New Year's Resolution" ? Funny thing is, I never really kept lists, so I never actually wrote down specific "to do" items for myself. I guess I told her that I will try to to the right thing all the time, may be even better than before, but is doing the right thing relative? There have been times I felt I was doing the right thing for the whole picture, but then I wasn't doing the right thing for each individuals complete needs. I know I can't make every single person happy or every single person may not even appreciate who I am, so I just told her I want to lose 10 pounds by March. Then I have 9 months to concentrate on something else...
Then it hit me while I was talking to her and she asked where's Mom and Dad...I can work on increasing my tolerance for next year's New Year's Eve for midnight, so this won't happen to me for a long, long while!!!!

There's Dad waking Mom up at 1.5 mins before midnight. She was ZONKED!! They both were fallin' out since 9:30 after we came home from fireworks on the beach!!
All-in-all, we all had a wonderful evening. They drove 12 hrs to be here w/me and Kevin and Kevin drove 10hrs to get here to enjoy the beach party!! Good thing all the festivities started at 4pm and done by 9:30...it was the perfect balance for this year's New Year's!!
I hope all your days for 2009 falls into the "perfect" balance!!!!
